Porsche has expanded its electric SUV lineup with the new Cayenne S Electric, a powerful mid-range variant positioned between the base model and the flagship Turbo. The new version blends strong performance, long driving range and the everyday practicality expected from the Cayenne name.
Porsche Expands Cayenne Electric Lineup
Porsche has introduced the new Cayenne S Electric, adding a fresh option to its growing electric SUV portfolio. The S variant sits neatly between the entry-level Cayenne Electric and the extreme Turbo model, giving buyers a balanced mix of performance and range. It continues Porsche’s strategy of offering multiple performance levels within its EV lineup.

The Cayenne S Electric retains the same bold character that has made the Cayenne one of Porsche’s most successful SUVs worldwide. With strong acceleration and a refined electric powertrain, this new variant aims to deliver the thrilling driving feel that Porsche enthusiasts expect.
Performance
Under the skin, the Cayenne S Electric features a dual motor all wheel drive setup paired with a large 113kWh battery pack. The system produces 544hp in normal driving conditions and sends power to all four wheels for strong traction and stability. When launch control is activated, the output temporarily rises to an impressive 666hp.

This allows the electric SUV to sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 3.8 seconds. Despite its large size, the Cayenne S Electric delivers the kind of acceleration usually associated with high performance sports cars. Porsche also claims a top speed of 250kph, ensuring that the Cayenne S Electric remains one of the most exciting electric SUVs in its segment.
Range and Charging
Range plays a major role in the appeal of modern electric vehicles, and Porsche has ensured the Cayenne S Electric performs strongly in this area. The SUV delivers a WLTP claimed driving range of up to 653km on a single charge. This figure makes it the longest range variant within the Cayenne Electric lineup.

The Cayenne S Electric also supports ultra fast charging with up to 400kW DC charging capability. Under ideal conditions, the battery can recharge from 10 percent to 80 percent in less than 16 minutes. This level of charging speed significantly reduces waiting time and makes long distance travel far more convenient.
Sporty Design
From the outside, the Cayenne S Electric closely resembles the other variants in the lineup. Porsche has kept the design changes minimal while adding a few subtle touches that distinguish the S model. The SUV features unique 20 inch alloy wheels and revised bumpers that incorporate Volcano Grey skid plates.

These small design elements give the vehicle a slightly more aggressive stance while maintaining the elegant and sporty styling that defines the Cayenne. Buyers can also choose from a wide selection of exterior colours, with Porsche offering up to thirteen different paint options for personalisation.
Premium Cabin
Inside the cabin, the Cayenne S Electric continues Porsche’s tradition of combining luxury with cutting edge technology. The interior layout remains similar to the other Cayenne Electric variants, offering a clean and driver focused design. Passengers are welcomed by two tone leather upholstery, 14 way electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats and a sophisticated four zone climate control system.

Ambient lighting adds a premium feel to the cabin while enhancing the overall driving experience during night journeys. Technology plays a central role in the interior. A large 14.5 inch curved infotainment display sits at the centre of the dashboard, supported by a fully digital driver display. A 14 speaker Bose sound system provides immersive audio, while wireless charging and advanced connectivity features ensure everyday convenience.
Performance
Porsche continues its tradition of offering extensive customisation options for buyers who want to personalise their vehicles. The optional Sport Chrono package introduces a push to pass function that temporarily unlocks the full 666hp power output for quick bursts of acceleration.
The package also includes a dedicated Track mode that prepares the battery for optimal performance during spirited driving. Additional upgrades include active suspension, carbon ceramic brakes and advanced torque vectoring technology that enhances handling precision.
Possible India Launch
The Cayenne Electric lineup is already available in India with the base model and the high performance Turbo variant. Prices currently range from approximately Rs 1.76 crore to Rs 2.26 crore depending on the variant.
Porsche has not confirmed whether the new Cayenne S Electric will arrive in India. However, given the growing interest in luxury electric SUVs in the country, the new variant could become an attractive addition to the lineup in the future.
